Vision, Mission, Goals
Lesley Gomez left England at 22 to serve as a missionary in the Philippines. Today she and her husband Peter run LAMA, a charity and safe house for the abandoned boys of the streets.
To protect and provide for boys who have nowhere else to go – for as long as it takes.
Our mission at LAMA House is to provide a home where homeless boys can experience childhood and find self-worth, in a family atmosphere of unconditional love and security.
To help them trust God and others, and to know they are valued by treating them with respect.
To encourage them by our own example to live lives of service to God and others.
To provide for the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of homeless boys and to promote their education in preparation for adulthood.
- To provide a safe place for boys in need to live and feel at home.
- To provide a secure family unit for them to turn to in time of need where their own family cannot do so.
- To represent the love, example and teachings of Jesus Christ. Teaching them what the Bible says and praying with them often. Leading them in experiencing the power and presence of God through praise and worship.
- To provide counsel and practical support for families of the boys in order that they may be reunited and function well as a family unit whenever possible
